Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans who love a spot of gaming will be in their element this year when the latest edition of EA Sports UFC is launched.
EA Sports UFC 6 is the latest release in the hugely popular series and the first since 2023.
The company has offered very few details about the game, with a press release raising more questions than answers about what MMA fans can expect.
“EA Sports UFC 6 is powered by fighters,” the PR read. “Evolved striking and motion systems bring UFC stars to life in the Octagon.
“New game modes introduce immersive storytelling that makes every fight feel personal. Square up and fight your fight.”
EA has not publicly disclosed sales figures for the previous edition, although the game was the seventh-best-selling title in the United Kingdom (UK) at launch.
It ranked as the 12th most-downloaded game in the European Union (EU) in 2024, and EA will be hoping the latest release has an even bigger impact.
Read on as we look at the release date, editions and features for what promises to be an enthralling mixed martial arts release by EA Sports.

EA Sports UFC 6: Features
EA Sports UFC 6 should be a significant leap forward from the previous edition, given that the company has had three years to develop new features.
As with most new releases, official details about upgrades to the game are thin on the ground, but there have been leaks galore in recent weeks.
The ‘Flow State’ gameplay feature will be included. This activates when the player deals a high amount of damage, engaging their fighter’s unique skills.
Ragdoll physics will generate more realistic reactions to damage from the fighters, while improved footwork will make the game more lifelike.
‘Hall of Legends’ and ‘The Legacy’ will allow players to relive the careers of some of the UFC’s greatest-ever fighters or follow their careers using their own character.
The new modes coming this winter and summer 2027 are closely guarded secrets. However, neither of them are expected to be Ultimate Team.
