Fulham are close to agreeing a £35 million deal to sign Manchester City’s Oscar Bobb, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 22-year-old joined City from Valerenga in his homeland in the summer of 2019 but has found regular playing time difficult to come by and moved further down the pecking order following the winter arrival of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth.
He has also suffered repeated runs of injuries at the Etihad, with a leg bone fracture in the opening week of the 2024/25 season abruptly halting his progress, just after a standout pre-season, and more recently, he was forced off against Brentford in the Carabao Cup with a hamstring issue.
Crystal Palace were initially linked to the Norwegian, while Borussia Dortmund have held interest in the winger since December but are still contemplating making an official bid.
Bobb has not featured for Man City since coming off with an injury in the Carabao Cup win over Brentford in December and did not travel with the squad for their clash with Bodø/Glimt in Norway on Tuesday.
Guardiola remained coy when asked about the winger’s continued absence, only saying, “He says he’s not fit, so he’s not fit.”
Bobb has made 15 appearances, including nine starts, for City this season and was substituted at half-time when given a rare opportunity to impress in the 2-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen in November and has scored just once in 26 Premier League appearances to date.
He has made a total of 47 appearances in all competitions for the Citizens, scoring three goals since his debut against Fulham in 2023.
Fulham will be keen on adding him to their ranks, as Bobb is a versatile attacker who can operate on either flank or as a number ten.
