Olympique Lyon agrees to a six-month loan deal for Endrick

Olympique Lyon have reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign striker Endrick on a six-month loan deal until the summer of 2026, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The deal includes no buy option clause, and 50% of the salary is covered, as the Brazilian will return to the Spanish capital in June 2026.

The 19-year-old signed for Los Blancos in July 2024 on a six-year deal, making 37 appearances in all competitions, finding the back of the net seven times, and assisting once in his debut season.

However, the Brazilian has suffered limited game time under Xabi Alonso, playing only 99 minutes across three games this campaign.

The motive behind this move is purely due to Endrick’s limited playing time at Real Madrid and his desire to earn a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for next summer’s World Cup in the United States.

The youngster was called up to the Brazil national team for the first time in November 2023 to participate in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina.

He made his debut against Colombia and became the fourth all-time youngest player, and the youngest in 57 years, to make his debut for Brazil.

The 19-year-old will be keen to impress in the French Ligue 1 and under Paulo Fonseca’s guidance at Lyon.

Lyon have won eight of their 16 league games and sit fifth in the standings, 10 points off top-placed Lens. They travel to Monaco on January 3rd for their next Ligue 1 game.
