Fulham looking to end 18-game losing streak against Man City

Manchester City travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham on Tuesday night in Premier League matchday 14.

Fulham triumphed 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur in their last outing and have collected 17 points from 13 games this campaign.

City snatched a late 3-2 win against Leeds United thanks to Phil Foden’s strike and are currently second in the Premier League standings.

Match preview

Fulham are winless in 20 Premier League meetings with City (D3 L17), losing the last 15 in a row. Their last victory was in April 2009 at the Etihad Stadium under Roy Hodgson.

City have won each of their last 18 meetings with Fulham in all competitions, the longest winning run one English league side has had against another in history.

Pep Guardiola was still in his playing career the last time Fulham beat City at Craven Cottage, that victory coming in November 2005.

The Citizens have won 37 of the 58 meetings between the two sides (L10, D11).

The Cottagers could win three successive home Premier League games for the first time since December 2023, while they last did so with a clean sheet in each match in February 2011, under Mark Hughes.

But Guardiola’s men tend to enjoy playing under the floodlights, winning 13 of their last 14 evening kick-offs in the Premier League (D1).

Fulham have an excellent defensive record at home this season, conceding just three times in the league.

Erling Haaland is still chasing his 100th Premier League goal after being kept out by Newcastle and Leeds, but his six goals versus Fulham in the top flight are the most any player has netted against them since their promotion in 2022.
