Chelsea ready to offer Juventus star lucrative deal amid difficult contract talks

Chelsea are prepared to pounce on Juventus and versatile winger Kenan Yildiz’s contract stand-off, according to reports in Italy.

Yildiz has recently made headlines with his performance for Turkiye during the October international break.

The left winger scored twice in Turkiye’s 6-1 win over Bulgaria, before getting back on the score sheet against Georgia on Tuesday.

His strong performance would only put him in a better position amid reported contract negotiations with Juventus.

Not to mention that he has recently been named on the 25-man shortlist for the 2025 Golden Boy award.

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Juventus and Yildiz’s side are still some way apart from reaching an agreement.

Yildiz is reportedly looking for a new deal worth €5million (£4.35m) a year, which would be a significant raise from his current €1.5m (£1.3m) yearly wage.

On the other hand, Juventus already offered Yildiz a contract extension last year, and it ties the player to the club until 2029.

The problem for Juventus is that if they cannot satisfy the winger with a better deal, another club will, and a player like Yildiz is generating a lot of interest.

Tuttosport mentions Chelsea among these potential suitors.

The Blues are reportedly interested in Yildiz not only from a footballing perspective, but also financially, since at the age of 20, he would be a long-term asset to his club.

The report claims that Chelsea would be willing to offer up to €10m yearly salary, including bonuses, which doubles what Yildiz is reportedly demanding from Juventus.

Chelsea are expected to make their move for the versatile winger next summer, so tying the player to a new deal would allow Juventus to at least slap a higher transfer fee or even fend off any approach if they planned to keep him.
