AS Monaco have included Paul Pogba in their 2025/26 Champions League league phase squad.
Pogba joined Manchester United’s academy from Le Havre in October 2009.
He was one of four academy players promoted to the first-team squad by then manager Sir Alex Ferguson ahead of United’s FA Cup fifth-round match against Crawley Town in February 2011.
After failing to renew his contract at Old Trafford, the Frenchman joined Italian giants Juventus in the summer of 2012 on a four-year contract.
On 2 October, Pogba made his first appearance in the UEFA Champions League in a 1–1 home draw against Shakhtar Donetsk, and on 20 October, he scored his first goal for the club in a 2–0 win over Napoli.
The 32-year-old rejoined the Red Devils in the summer of 2016 on a five-year contract for a then-record for the highest football transfer fee of £89.3 million plus bonuses of £4.3m, surpassing the former record holder Gareth Bale.
In his first season back, he won the League Cup and the Europa League, and in the 2018/19 season, he was named in the PFA Team of the Year.
In the summer of 2022, Juventus announced the France international’s return on a four-year contract.
His first season back in Italy was plagued with injuries, ruling him out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
He has made 57 appearances in the Champions League, finding the back of the net four times and assisting 12 times.
On 11 September 2023, Pogba was provisionally suspended from playing due to the failure of a drug test, as non-endogenous testosterone was found in his test results following a match against Udinese on 20 August.
On 29 February 2024, he received a four-year ban for doping from the Italian Anti-Doping National Tribunal, with the option to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The ban was reduced to 18 months on 4 October, which was lifted in March 2025.
Juventus announced that they had reached a mutual agreement with Pogba regarding the termination of his contract on November 24.
Pogba signed for Monaco in June 2025 until the summer of 2027, and he is yet to make his debut for the French side.
The Rock will face Manchester City (H), Real Madrid (A), Juventus (H), Club Brugge (A), Tottenham Hotspur (H), FK Bodø/Glimt (A), Galatasaray (H) and Pafos FC (A) in their CL league phase.
