Crystal Palace agree deal with Villarreal for Yeremy Pino

Crystal Palace have reached an agreement with Villarreal to sign winger Yeremy Pino for a €30 million fixed fee plus add-ons, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Palace are in the market for an attacker after Eberechi Eze left the club for Premier League side Arsenal, despite Tottenham Hotspur pushing to secure his signature.

Pino could be an ideal option for Palace as a replacement for Eze.

Although naturally a winger, the 22-year-old could feature in one of Oliver Glasner’s attacking midfield slots, with their number 10s often drifting into wide areas where Pino likes to operate.

The Spaniard contributed four goals and 10 assists last season across all competitions for the Yellow Submarine.

He has made 170 appearances, scoring 22 times and providing 20 assists during his stay at the Spanish side.

The 22-year-old has already had senior international experience with Spain, making his debut on 6th October 2021, featuring 21 times and netting three goals.

It’s been a slow start to the summer transfer window for the Eagles, as they have completed two incomings.

Goalkeeper Walter Benitez and full-back Borna Sosa have been the only arrivals at Selhurst Park.

Glasner has been vocal about the need for reinforcements, particularly with the Eagle’s participation in Europa Conference League football this season.

The London club are yet to secure a win in this Premier League campaign, drawing their first two matches.

The Eagles will hope to get their first win of the season, and Pino could make his debut in their trip to Villa Park on Sunday.
