Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement to sign Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town

Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town have agreed on a £37.5 million transfer fee to sign Omari Hutchinson, according to The Athletic.

When confirmed, the transfer would surpass Forest’s current record fee, set last month with the £35 million signing of Dan Ndoye from Bologna.

Hutchinson joined Ipswich on loan from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, helping the club gain promotion to the Premier League after 22 years away.

The 21-year-old rejoined The Tractor Boys in 2024 and signed a five-year contract for a club-record fee.

On 24 November 2024, Hutchinson scored his first Premier League goal in a 1–1 home draw against Manchester United.

He made 32 appearances, recording three goals and two assists in all competitions last season as The Reds were relegated to the championship.

Hutchinson was included in the England squad for the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Slovakia.

He scored a goal in the final as England defeated Germany 3–2 after extra time to win the tournament.

Forest have completed the signing of James McAtee, with Rennes’ Arnaud Kalimuendo reportedly close.

The Tricky Trees have also opened talks with Juventus for Douglas Luiz, with the former Aston Villa player being keen on the move.
