ICC Champions Trophy 2025: squads, groups and schedule

The ICC Champions Trophy is set to return after an eight-year hiatus.

Pakistan are the defending champions, having beaten arch-rivals India in the 2017 edition in London.

The Green Shirts had claimed an emphatic 180 runs victory at The Oval, thanks to Fakhar Zaman’s sensational century.

They will be looking to add another trophy this year and will have a major advantage as they are hosting the 50-over tournament.

However, India will play in a neutral venue in Dubai due to the political tensions between the two countries.

The matches will take place in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore, with all the grounds having undergone significant renovation work.

But the games involving India – including a potential semi-final and the final – will happen in the UAE.

Pakistan will face New Zealand in the tournament’s opening match on 19 February at the National Stadium Karachi.

The eight teams have been split into two groups, with the top two from each progressing to the final four.

The semi-finals will take place on 4 and 5 March, while the final is scheduled on 9 March.
