Tottenham Hotspur will be keen to return to winning ways when they welcome Aston Villa in North London on Sunday.
The Lilywhites are currently on a two-game losing streak, having lost both against Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers before the international break.
The upcoming Premier League clash, available to watch via the soccer streams, will likely be a big test for Ange Postecoglou’s men who haven’t been very convincing recently.
Tottenham predicted line-up
The Londoners suffered a blow during the international break when midfielder Pape Matar Sarr picked up a knock with Senegal. The Australian boss admitted yesterday that they will assess the 21-year-old before the home clash, but we don’t expect him to be part of the starting XI on Sunday.
Ashley Phillips has also returned to Spurs with an ankle injury, which is unfortunate as he had been tipped for more game time with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero both sidelined.
Van de Ven is not expected to be back until late December due to fitness issues, while Romero will be serving his suspension. Therefore, Eric Dier and Ben Davies will most likely feature in central defence.
In a big boost for the north Londoners, Rodrigo Bentancur is set to make his first start after suffering an ACL injury in February.
Meanwhile, Left-back Destiny Udogie is also in line to be part of the Spurs team. There were doubts about his availability after he withdrew from the Italy squad but Postecoglou confirmed the 20-year-old has now fully recovered.
Richarlison, James Maddison, Manor Solomon, Ryan Sessegnon, and Ivan Perisic all remain sidelined for the coming Premier League clash.
Tottenham predicted line-up (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Dier, Davies, Udogie; Sarr, Hojbjerg, Bentancur; Kulusevski, Son, Johnson.
