Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to overturn the one-goal deficit when they host Serie A giants AC Milan in the second-leg of their Champions League last 16 tie on Wednesday.
The North London outfit are not in their best form recently as they lost both their matches last week.
They suffered a shocking 1-0 loss at Sheffield United to go out of the FA Cup in the fifth round, with Iliman Ndiaye scoring the vital goal.
Spurs suffered more disappointment at the weekend as Wolverhampton Wanderers condemned them to another 1-0 defeat in the Premier League.
Despite featuring Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski, the visitors failed to breach the Wanderers’ defence.
Then in the 82nd-minute, Adama Traore popped up with the decisive goal to give his side a huge boost in their fight to stay in the English top-flight.
On the other hand, Milan registered back-to-back wins in the Serie A following their 1-0 success over Tottenham in the first-leg at the San Siro.
Stefano Pioli’s side picked up wins over Monza and Atalanta but they suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Nicolas Gonzalez’s penalty broke the deadlock early in the second-half before Luka Jovic added a late second for the home side.
The Rossoneri managed to pull a goal back in injury-time but that served only as a small consolation.
Match Preview
Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs have been highly inconsistent this season. They can beat Manchester City in one game before suffering a thrashing at the hands of Leicester City in another.
The previous week was highly disappointing for the North Londoners as they lost their matches against Championship side Sheffield United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, they will now turn their attention to the second-leg of their Champions League last 16 tie where they will be looking to overturn the one-goal deficit against AC Milan.
Spurs have failed to score in their previous two games and so the pressure will be on Harry Kane and Son Heung-min on Wednesday.
AC Milan
Milan lifted the league crown last season after posting 86 points from 38 matches in the Serie A. But they are clearly out of the title race this campaign with leaders Napoli 18 points ahead of them at the top of the table.
However, after edging the first-leg 1-0 at the San Siro, the Rossoneri are just 90 minutes away from reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
Milan have been impressive in defence recently as they have managed to keep four clean sheets from their previous five matches in all competitions.

Tottenham Hotspur vs AC Milan Prediction
Spurs haven’t been playing their best football recently and confidence is unlikely to be very high in their camp. They will also not be able to avail the services of Eric Dier on Wednesday due to suspension in latest Tottenham news.
The North Londoners will have home advantage but we don’t see them winning the tie.
