Premier League football will resume this Friday afternoon with Chelsea taking on Fulham at Stamford Bridge. The weekend’s blockbuster clash will see Tottenham Hotspur hosting Manchester City, with the North Londoners hoping to claim an upset victory.
How to Watch?
You can watch live soccer streams online, including all the Premier League fixtures this weekend.
Chelsea vs Fulham
Chelsea have been very active in the January transfer window as they have brought in some of the top players to bolster their ranks. However, their performances on the pitch haven’t been very encouraging so far.
The Blues will be looking to beat Fulham to make up ground in the race for the top-four. The Cottagers are unlikely to prove easy opponents but we expect Chelsea to prevail in the end.
Prediction: Chelsea to win
Everton vs Arsenal
Everton have installed Sean Dyche in place of Frank Lampard, hoping the 51-year-old will lead them to safety.
Generally, teams tend to see an improvement when a new manager is in the dugout. But the problem is the Toffees will be facing Arsenal who are currently enjoying an excellent run of form.
We may see a better performance from Everton this weekend but it’s hard to back any other result except a win for the Gunners.
Prediction: Arsenal to win
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Bournemouth
Brighton & Hove Albion lost their manager to Chelsea but they are doing perfectly fine under Roberto De Zerbi. The Seagulls will enter the upcoming clash on the back of an impressive FA Cup victory against Liverpool. They are expected to seal full points against relegation-threatened Bournemouth this weekend.
Prediction: Brighton to win
Manchester United vs Crystal Palace
Manchester United were denied three points earlier this month after Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise netted a stunning injury-time equaliser at Selhurst Park Stadium.
Erik ten Hag’s side will be looking for a convincing victory this time to cement their position in the top-four. The Red Devils suffered a disappointing 3-2 loss at Arsenal in their previous league game but they are expected to pick up full points against Palace on Saturday.
Prediction: Manchester United to win
Brentford vs Southampton
Southampton are currently at the foot of the Premier League table. The Saints have brought in some reinforcements but face a tough battle to stay in the top-flight.
Brentford are better than Southampton both offensively and defensively, and we are backing the Bees to win this weekend.
Prediction: Brentford to win
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Liverpool
Liverpool are currently going through a very difficult period. Their previous defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion means they are now out of the FA Cup as well as the League Cup.
Their current Premier League position suggests that only a remarkable comeback would bring them back in contention for a top-four finish.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are still missing some of their key players, and considering they weren’t very convincing against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their previous two encounters, we expect the spoils of the game to be shared on Saturday.
Prediction: A draw
Aston Villa vs Leicester City
Aston Villa are a completely different team under Unai Emery who has brilliantly unlocked the potential of the squad. With Villa unbeaten in their previous four league matches, we don’t see Leicester City getting any point from their upcoming away fixture.
Prediction: Aston Villa to win
Newcastle United vs West Ham United
Newcastle have defied expectations this season and are currently in a great position to claim a European spot. West Ham United picked an encouraging 2-0 success against Everton in their last league clash but their chances for victory at the St James Park look slim.
Prediction: Newcastle to win
Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United
There isn’t a lot of difference between these two teams who are both battling to survive in the top-flight. We expect a draw between Forest and Leeds on Sunday.
Prediction: A draw
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City
This weekend’s blockbuster showdown will see Tottenham Hotspur locking horns with defending champions Manchester City. Their previous encounter saw Pep Guardiola’s side winning 4-2 at the Etihad Stadium.
Spurs were leading 2-0 at the break but a spectacular second-half display from City meant the hosts won comfortably in the end. Given their excellent squad quality, we believe Manchester City will once again triumph on Sunday.
Prediction: Manchester City to win
