Harry Kane made the difference for Spurs as he headed the decisive goal in the 22th-minute of the game.
They are currently sitting third in the table, having secured 20 points from a possible 27.
Eintracht Frankfurt, on the other hand, will enter the upcoming match on the back of a shocking 3-0 defeat at VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga.
An own goal from Evan Ndicka plus strikes from Philipp Hofmann, Forster helped Bochum to a comfortable victory at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
Oliver Glasner’s side have been very inconsistent in the German league this season, with three defeats and four wins currently keeping them eighth in the table.
The North London side endured a disappointing draw at Eintracht Frankfurt last week. They managed to create several goalscoring opportunities but lack of precision ultimately let them down.
Tottenham cannot afford any more slip-ups and must defeat Frankfurt in the home encounter. They are currently level on points with their opponents on Wednesday, with Sporting Lisbon at the top of Group D.

However, they haven’t been very convincing in the Champions League so far this season. They lost their opening group game at Sporting and also suffered a draw against Tottenham last time out.
Tottenham Hotspur will not be able to avail the services of Dejan Kulusevski who is currently recovering from a thigh injury he picked up during the international break. Lucas Moura will also not be involved on Wednesday for Spurs.
Meanwhile, Frankfurt could miss Mario Gotze who is suffering from an ankle issue. While Kristijan Jakic is back and should be part of the playing XI against Spurs.
