PSL 7: Shahid Afridi reacts to Shaheen’s superb last over batting

Shaheen Afridi made headlines with his superb batting skills last night against Peshawar Zalmi in the 30th match of the Pakistan Super League.

The Gaddafi Stadium encounter saw the Yellow Storm batting first and posting a 159-run target in the stipulated 20 overs, with Shoaib Malik hitting 32 off 28 balls.

Despite Mohammad Hafeez making 49 runs, the Qalandars looked to be losing the PSL game when they needed 24 from the final over.

However, Shaheen brought his team back in the game with his amazing batting skills. The pacer was brought on to strike with a single and what followed thrilled all the home supporters.

The 21-year-old struck a boundary off the first ball before hitting two sixes off the next two deliveries.

Shaheen also smashed a six off the final delivery to take the match to a thrilling super over.

However, Fakhar Zaman and Harry Brook could only make five runs in the super over, courtesy of Wahab Riaz’s sensational bowling.

And Shoaib Malik finished things off for Zalmi by hitting two boundaries off the first two deliveries.

Following the conclusion of the match, Shahid Afridi took to social networking site Twitter and shared a collage of the two players.
